Two persons were killed and five were injured when a van used by staff of a private hospital reportedly hit a roadside tree after colliding with a blue bull in Hanumangarh last night.

The police said that a private hospital had organised a medical camp at Rayia village in the Bhadra segment yesterday. When a van was ferrying back a doctor, Dr Avinash Chander, and paramedicos, driver Rajesh lost control over the vehicle after it collided with a blue bull and hit a tree near Gunjasari village.

Saleem Khan (30) and Mukesh Jat (25) of Bharwana village died on the spot. Dr Chander, Rajesh, his daughter Khushi (3), and nurses Usha and Rekha were taken to the Bhadra Civil Hospital. Usha and Rekha were later referred to a hospital in Bikaner.

In another mishap, Balbir Kaur (50) died when a tractor-trailer she was travelling in was hit by a truck at Gadarkhera village. The driver of the truck managed to flee after the mishap.
